VILLAGE OF BARNEVELD BOARD MEETING

1. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by President Mike Peterson and public notice had been given and agenda's were available.

2. ROLL CALL: Jim Nelson, Lori Parks, Jim Owens, John Nechkash, Steve Deal, Greg Clerkin, and Mike Peterson

3. Pledge of Allegiance

4. Motion by S Deal/G Clerkin to approve the minutes of the July 2nd, 2007 board meeting. Motion carried.

5. No public comment

6. Motion by J Nechkash/J Owens to table Harvest Market's request to deferr principal payment of Revolving Loan until someone representing Harvest Market can appear before the board. Motion carried.

7. Motion by J Nechkash/S Deal to temporarily approve traffic design and parking time changes around school and revisit in October. Motion carried.

8. Motion by J Owens/J Nechkash to include a new Lazer(radar) to the 2008 Police Department budget. Motion carried.

9. Motion by J Nechkash/J Owens to approve an Operator's License for Joey John for Lucky's. Motion carried.

10. Motion by J Nechkash/L Parks to approve an Operator's License for Jeremy Ashmore for Stop-N-Go. Motion carried.

11. Motion by J Nechkash/L Parks to approve contract at $400.00 with Humane Society of Iowa County. Motion carried.

12. Motion by J Owens/J Nechkash to set date for Fall Cleanup on Saturday October 6^th, 2007. Motion carried.

13. Motion by L Parks/ J Owens to set date of September Board meeting for Tuesday September 4^th. Motion carried.

14. The Finance Committee will meet Tuesday August 14^th to review pay scale and benefits for Village Employees for 2008 budget year.

15. Police Chief's monthly report. Chief Schneider discussed Crossing Guard search for volunteers issue with board and reported Luau weekend was quiet.

16. Motion by L Parks/ J Owens to amend Ordinance 9.01 in regards to airsoft guns pending review by Judge Rhonda Hazen and Village Attorney Greg Murray. Motion carried.

17. Motion by J Nechkash/J Owens to accept Rockcrete Inc bid of $2,100.00 for cementing culvert on south Jones Street. Motion carried.

18. Motion by J Owens/G Clerkin to approve bills as presented. Motion carried.

19. Wisconsin Department of Transportation Meeting on Thursday, August 16^th in Ridgeway or on August 23^rd in Mt Horeb in regards to the 18/151 Highway Access Study.

20. The board was advised of Fair Day Meeting on August 7^th. Fair Day is September 15^th 2007.
