DRAFT SUBJECT TO APPROVAL
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by President Mike Peterson. Public Notice had been given and agenda’s were available.
ROLL CALL: Jim Nelson, Lori Parks, Jim Owens, John Nechkash, Steve Deal, Dr. Francis, and Mike Peterson.
Pledge of Allegiance.
Motion by L Parks/J Owens to approve the minutes of the January 2nd Board Meeting and the January 29th Joint Meeting. Motion carried.
No Public Comment.
Deb Kabler, Library Director, appeared before the Board with updates on Library activity and the History of Barneveld Project. The Library received a grant in the amount of $5,789.00 to work on Digitizing pictures and documents from Barneveld history. They are working with the University of Wisconsin to make these items available online.
Randy Danz appeared before the Board inquiring on the Village Policy for purchasing tires. The Board will ask for quotes on all future purchases.
Nick Corgiat appeared before the Board to give an update and ask for opinions from the board on updated version of Phase 2 of Savannah Oaks Planned Unit Development.
Motion by S Deal/Dr. Francis to approve Pay Request #3 from Rule Construction, LTD in the amount of $64,720.06 for the 2005 Utility Project. Motion carried.
Motion by Dr. Francis/J Owens to approve Pay Request #2 form Rule Construction, LTD in the amount of $3,084.75 for the CTH ID Utility Project. Motion carried.
Discussion of barking dog complaint letter sent to Board. Deputy Clerk and Police Chief to look into other Villages ordinances concerning how many animals and or a Kennel license a household may have and fine amounts for continued abuse of barking dogs.
Motion by L Parks/J Nechkash to approve Michael Saltz to change and update the Village Website and set it up to allow Clerks/Police Department to make updates as needed. Motion carried.
Motion by J Nechkash/Dr. Francis to approve Operators License for Tiff Lynn Yapp pending all paper work turned in, and completion of Server’s class. Motion carried.
Motion by J Nelson/J Owens to approve adding to the personnel policy that employees become eligible for benefits after 180 days of employment. Motion carried.
Police schedule and report was reviewed. Police Chief Brian Schneider gave the Board copy of new guide lines regarding parking ticket policy on School grounds. Barneveld has been approved for 1033 Program for 50 students. This is a program from the DOT concerning Safe Routes to school and Crossing Guards.
Motion by S Deal/Dr. Francis to move April Board Meeting to Wednesday April 4th, 2007 due to Election set up in meeting room on the 2nd of April for Spring Election. Motion carried.
Motion by Dr. Francis/ J Nelson to approve bills as presented. Motion carried.
The Board reviewed the Field Report completed by MSA Professionals on the County Hwy ID Project.
Update of space needs study.
No future items or business was discussed.
